Madison Genesis sealed the team victory on the night and now don the Tour Series leaders’ jerseys following the second round in Motherwell.
A superb team performance secured the top step of the podium, with the team drawing level on points with round one winners JLT Condor.
Rich Handley sprinted to second on the night, after being part of a three-man group that dominated the race.
Going clear early on, they would build a one minute lead and contest individual glory.
Behind, all four Madison Genesis riders remained in the peloton until the final ten minutes of racing.
A flurry of attacks came as teams battled for supremacy. Johnny McEvoy made the four-man splinter group and importantly won the sprint to the line to take fourth on the night.
Behind, Tobyn Horton and Neil van der Ploeg crossed the line in 12th and 13th place respectively and that was enough to take the win overall.
Madison Genesis now wear the series leaders’ jerseys, with racing resuming on Thursday May 17 in Aberdeen.
