Madison Genesis have been named as one of 20 teams to compete in the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire, on May 3-6.
The UCI 2.1-ranked event is the second biggest stage race in the British calendar and Madison Genesis are one of just seven domestic teams to be picked by organisers ASO.
The legacy event of the 2014 grand depart of the Tour de France will feature some of cycling’s biggest names - including Team Sky, BMC, Dimension Data, Katusha-Alpecin and Astana.
But Madison Genesis have a reputation of producing exceptional performances at the race against this World Tour opposition, with Matt Holmes taking fifth in 2017.
Last years highest British finisher in Yorkshire, Holmes again has the event as his primary objective.
"The Tour de Yorkshire is a major target for the team each year and after finishing fifth last year, it will be a personal objective for me next season.
"The Tour de Yorkshire climbs always tend to suit my riding style and 2018 is no exception. The addition of a fourth day of racing will make it more exciting to watch. Teams will find it very hard to control, as Yorkshire provides a perfect backdrop for another spectacular race.
Aside from Holmes, Madison Genesis have a rich history of results at the event, placing the highest British finisher on general classification with Erick Rowsell (8th in 2015), and the highest finishing UK-based rider on a domestic team with Tom Stewart (11th in 2016).
